1. Michelle - April 9, 2007

Poor, obtuse, naive Charles. The kinder he is to her, the more she is bothered by him. And, even Leon. She seems to be starting to tire of him as he’s not meeting her every need.

2. Nicole - April 14, 2007

No one can meet her every need. It’s so ironic to me how obvious it is when I view her life, but not in my own. There is so much practical application to this book. I find myself so frustrated with Emma I want to shake her, threaten her, give her a “darn good spanking” to quote Marilla Cuthburt from Anne of Green Gables. 🙂

Anyway, Michelle, you thoughts about Charles are so true. What a great example of Christ’s love for us: no matter what we do, he loves us. WOW!
