In this chapter I see a great deal of comparison between the Fall of Man and Psyche’s circumstance of leaving the valley. Psyche, like Adam and Eve, does the one thing forbidden and the lovely valley is destroyed and a curse is put on he to wander in the wilderness. What do you all think?

We are discussing chapter 15. Leave and check out comments below.

I can totally see the comparison of this. It is so vivid a comparison. The whole fact to that she is not killed but made to wander in the wilderness suffering hardship and Orual is cursed too. Just as Adam and Eve were both punished…Orual and Psyche are both punished. Not in chapter 15 but obviously in the ending this is a reflection of the whole story even more with the whole restoration factor and obviously Cupid’s love for Psyche never ceasing. Don’t want to spoil anything but….

Mmmm Hmmm. I don’t think anyone would disagree at the comparison.
